Privacy and analytics

Home and Mission use PostHog analytics when configured. Measurement starts automatically, and respects Do Not Track and the opt-out below. Anonymous browser and session identifiers use browser storage to connect visits; they do not identify people by name. The opt-out preference stays in this browser. Clearing storage or using another browser resets it.

Measurement includes page visits, navigation, coordinate heatmaps and page timing. Session replay is disabled. URLs exclude query strings and private fragments. Referrers retain only their website origin. Active time estimates visible, focused reading with a one-minute idle limit; elapsed time includes idle intervals. Page departures are best effort and can be missed when requests are blocked or a browser closes.

Private forms, inputs, editable content, iframes and marked private areas are excluded from heatmap coordinates. Console logs and network headers/bodies are disabled. PostHog processes connection information such as IP addresses and browser information to receive these requests. No named profiles or form values are collected. Storage clearing, blockers and multiple devices limit visitor counts.

Data goes to PostHog US Cloud. The free plan includes one million events monthly and one year of analytics retention. Previously received recordings remain subject to their existing retention. Limits can drop data. Opting out stops future collection and clears SDK identifiers; it does not erase data already received. Contact me for privacy questions.
